Guild & Raid Rules

Chaotic is a progression based raid PvE guild. The raid length and number of raids is not intended to be as hardcore as server first guilds though we do expect to progress at a competitive pace.

Guild Ranks

Master of Chaos: Guild Master
Overlord: Other guild leaders, equal to Master of Chaos.
    Unatainable rank.

Task Master: Raid leaders, Loot Council.
Submit your request to the Master of Chaos
Unholy Knight: Priority on Raid Slots, can have one alt in the guild.
To achieve the Unholy Knight status you must be in the guild for 20 raiding days
(roughly a month) and have at least 80% attendance.

Acolyte: Normal member rank
To achieve the Acolyte rank, you must be in the guild for 10 raiding days (roughly 2
weeks) and have at least 30% attendance.

Underling: Trial member and/or lowest priority with Raid Slots
Underlings are subject to removal of the guild depending on their attendance/attitude.
Alt: Alternative Character. Alts are permitted to raid as long as their gear is up to par and the main character is not needed. Alts are allowed in the guild/raid as a reward for those dedicated enough to be on time consistantly.
Alts require you to have your main as Unholy Knight rank.
Social: A non-raiding member.  Socials will not be able to raid during normal raid hours.
Social is a rank for long-term guild friends or those who have to leave the guild due to
RL issues though keep a character in to talk.

Guild Announcements

Guild Announcements will be primarily handled with the website as the GMOTD can change quickly.
1. News (home page, www.chaotic-dragonmaw.com) will cover any non-disputable changes or announcements
2. Forums will cover any asynchronous communication with the guild. This includes and is not limited to: Guild auctions, polls, raid info, etc.

Raid Times

Raid times are based on Hawaii Standard Time - since Hawaii doesn't observe Daylight Saving Time then raid times will vary depending on the time of the year.  To keep times fair for both Hawaii and those timezones who observe Daylight Saving Time we are implementing a unique raid schedule.  Chaotic will raid for either 8 or 9 hours week, depending on the DST status.

Raid days & times (server date/time):
DST: Hawaii is 3 hours behind the West Coast
Monday-Thursday
10:00PM to 12:00AM

Non-DST: Hawaii is 2 hours behind the West Coast
Monday-Wednesday
9:00PM to 12:00AM
Thursday (non-attendance)
9:00PM to 12:00AM achievement/PvP/misc fun

Invites will go out 10 minutes before the raid starts. Be responsible for preparing and arriving at the instance on time. Everyone should be inside the instance by the start of the raid time.

Raid spots are prioritized by ranking guild members first. In the event that more than 10/25 people are online and you do not receive an invite then we request that you stay logged in during the raid times. People may DC unexpectedly, have personal issues to take care of, wrong raid balance, etc. that will require bringing someone else in their place.

Raid Rules

Raid Rules are simple:
1. Listen to the Raid Leader
2. Melee will assist the Main Melee Assist, Ranged will assist the Main Ranged Assis
2. Do not pop raid-cooldowns (brez, ankh, heroism, etc.) unless the Raid Leaders asks
3. Do not ninja-afk
4. Respect everyone in the raid

Raid announcements:
1. Only officers should be announcing when to use special cooldowns; i.e. Battle Rezes, Ahnks, Heroism, etc. Soulstones and Divine Interventions can be used at will - if there are specific boss fights that require these in the future then these will be announced as well.
2. Fight to the best of your abilities even if the outcome looks grim; do not stop trying unless the Raid Leader calls for a wipe.
    a. If the Raid Leader calls for a wipe, wipe. Do not waste the raid's time by making them wait.

Loot Rules:
1. Chaotic uses loot council to assign loot, it will be assigned in the guild's best interest in mind.
2. The recipient of an epic (raids or instances) from an official guild run will be charged 10g per epic, place this in the guild bank when the raid is over.
    a. This tax will be used to go back to the guild in various ways, one example will be to provide resistance equipment for all raid members, purchasing BoE recipies, etc.
3. Priority for loot will go to Main Spec, Secondary PvE Spec, Off Spec.
    a. There may be times where alts have priority over mains, though this will be extremely rare.
4. PvP gear will be /rolled on, priority will go to those who have the minimum personal arena rating for that season.
5. BoE items will only be available for Main Spec with the intent of equipping. If no Main Spec needs the item then the items will be placed in the Auction tab in the Guild Bank.
6. Recipes, Enchants, Designs, etc will go to the designated guild profession.  Only the guild gathering profession should gather in instances.
    a. Alchemist:
    b. Blacksmith: Mindark - Armorsmith
    c. Enchanter: Manaia
    d. Engineer: Comb - Goblin)/Thetwo (Manaia's alt) - Gnomish
    e. Herbalism: Zarkeid
    f. Inscription: Manaia
    g. Jewel Crafter: Mindark
    h. Leatherworker: Humpstumper
    i. Mining: Zarkeid
    j. Skinning: Humpstumper
    k. Tailoring: Cataclysma

Wish List

 1. The wishlist is available to Acolytes or higher.
2. Guild members can request one wishlist item per raid zone.
    Example: 10 TotC, 10 TotGC, 25 TotC, 25 TotGC, 10 ICC, 25 ICC, etc.
3. Wishlists bypass the loot process and are instantly won; if there is a tie then the winner will be determined by Loot Council. In most cases, this will result in a roll.
4. Wishlists must be for Main Spec only; PvP gear, mounts, or other vanities cannot be wishlisted.
5. The previous wishlists are publically available to view on the website,
www.chaotic-dragonmaw.com.

Guild Bank

Buying from the guild bank:
1. The guild bank will sell all items for 50% off for Alcolyte rank or higher.
2. Enchanting mats and gems will be provided for free, if available in the guild bank.
3. The guild bank tabs are explained in detail if you look at the "Info" tab in them

Ventrilo Rules

Ventrilo rules are simple:
1. Be quiet when Raid Leaders are speaking during a raid
2. Respect others on Ventrilo
3. You are able to invite non-guild members into the Ventrilo server as long as they are partaking in activities with guild members.
Example: PUGs, PvP, hanging out with friends, etc.

Disciplinary Actions

Any guild member who conducts him/herself in any offensive manner officers, guild members, or to the guild image is subject for removal depending on the severity of the infraction. This includes posting slanderous material on any forum, generating drama or being a general nuisance, and harassing other players. Guild members are expected to respect eachother as well as other WoW players.

Recruitment

Guild members that have friends still have to go through the application process; friends are not guaranteed positions in the guild. Prospective members should be directed to the website, www.chaotic-dragonmaw.com, or an officer to interview. If an application is placed on the website please give the officers a week to review the status as they may not be able to check the website every day.

If a member chooses to leave the guild, the guild is not obligated to re-invite them back.

Questions/Comments
